Dealing With Big Problems
No matter what our profession, all of us have to deal with making big decisions. These decisions take a lot of time and thought to weigh different options. With pressing issues on our mind, we feel as though we can't think about anything else. The problem is usually quite the opposite. We are so driven to solve the problem that we allow ourselves to dwell for long periods until we lose our original focus. We then draw conclusions that have no strong base or validity.

During the process, you fight off other distractions and stimuli as mightily as you can. Unfortunately, it is impossible to ignore all of the other things that are going on around you. You are soaking them in as quickly as you are cranking ideas. Without realizing it, those external factors might shape your problem solving.
