In the wake of the disaster in South Asia, Yahoo has seen an extraordinary level of generosity from its 325 million users worldwide.

In less than three days, Yahoo! users have helped raise millions of dollars for organizations including the American Red Cross, UNICEF, Oxfam, Network for Good and AmeriCares, whose donation sites are receiving 500,000 clicks per day.

Yahoo! has dedicated headline links on 14 of its international home pages to help generate much-needed funds for relief organizations. Yahoo! has also donated the creation and hosting of the American Red Cross donation site, which has already raised $1.2 million from more than 11,000 donors in its first 18 hours of availability.

The Internet has proven to be an effective way to make donations and help support the rebuilding efforts. Consumers can easily make an online donation to five relief organizations by clicking on the links on the Yahoo! home page. All donations collected go directly to the organizations.
