Yesterday not only saw the announcement of MSN Search, there was also an announcement from iEntry concerning the launch of a search presence targeted towards South Africa. The search engine, called SearchZA, is the most comprehensive method of searching sites using the .ZA domain.
A quote from Rich Ord, CEO of iEntry, clearly explains the aim of South African search presence, "Our goal is for SearchZA to become the most popular search engine in the world focused on South Africa," said Rich Ord, President and CEO of iEntry, Inc. "SearchZA fills a need in South Africa for a comprehensive directory of .ZA sites that is not being met by Google and Yahoo."
The SearchZA engine provides one result per website, however, every result contains links to the site's Content Profile, which in turn contains links to the site's internal pages. Furthermore, submission to SearchZA for indexing and inclusion is completely free for all .ZA domains. To submit your .ZA site, go to http://submit.searchza.com/.
