Stay or Go?
As technology advances, so does our ability to take in increasing amounts of information from a variety of sources. As we become more knowledgeable, we gain the ability to look past our everyday situations to see the world from many different perspectives.
Then there's the question of dedication to your present company. Should you leave the employers who gave you a chance in the first place? Many people struggle with this question their whole lives. Make sure you aren't chasing dollar signs. Let your happiness be your guide. If you are extremely happy where you are, then you might want to stay. Don't stay just because you have some idea of what a good employee should do! If your present company is treating you poorly, then dump them. Don't feel like you must remain dedicated to a company that doesn't appreciate you. Do everything possible, as long as it's legal and ethical, to increase your own happiness.

Inspiration
"You have to allow a certain amount of time in which you are doing nothing in order to have things occur to you, to let your mind think." --Mortimer Adler

"Intimate relationships cannot substitute for a life plan. But to have any meaning or viability at all, a life plan must include intimate relationships." --Harriet Lerner

We're inevitably made aware of the benefits and opportunities that we could have if we changed direction. You might discover a job opportunity that you're qualified for, that's more rewarding intellectually or monetarily. You might realize that you're underpaid compared to the rest of the world. You might find that other companies offer more benefits or better perks. It's at this time that you must face the question, "Should I stay or should I go?"
Formulating an answer is much more difficult than anyone would imagine. We get accustomed to the job and the social relationships we've formed in the workplace. If we think about leaving, doubts creep in. What if we can't do another job as well? Will our value as a future employee go down? What about our self esteem? How will our present company replace us? All of these questions must be addressed in order to make the best decisions for you and the companies involved.
